Client Challenge

Energy Co.* has been a client of Response since 2016. Personnel discovered a value-add when there was a sudden need to accurately identify the location of various pipeline risers within their areas of operations, specifically off-lease. Energy Co.* needed an alternate way of identifying access and egress locations of these risers using GPS technology to enhance company asset maps and comply with pipeline operation procedures and regulatory requirements. 

The Response Approach

With the Response app in hand, operators located the pipeline risers and used GPS technology within the Time & Event Log to place pins on the asset map, specifying each location. The ability to identify these risers is key to adequate pipeline maintenance. Energy Co.* continues to use the mobile app for operational purposes, rather than just emergency situations.

Results

• 10 GPS risers have accurately identified.
• 25 users on the app
